I never thought that finding a job after moving home from college would be so difficult. After months of searching I was getting my oil changed and thats when the person working the front desk told me about Kendra Scott. I didn't think much of it and I definitely didn't' think that I would fall in love with my job at this company but I did more than ever.
I started July 2019 and expected it to be a short term job until I found something else, but I shortly fell in love with working for the company. First of all, Kendra Scott LLC is full of amazingly supportive people. My manager is the real reason I have to thank. She was always pushing me to be the best version of myself and was there to help when I had any questions. Now I know not everybody has a great manager but I just happened to get lucky. She is constantly giving me positive feedback but is able to tell me where I need to be improving.
Now for the company and why I love it so much. Although I have never met Kendra Scott personally, fingers crossed I will one day, she is such an inspiring person. She started her company while giving back to her local community and that is something we still focus on everyday while at work. We hold so many in-store events for many different organizations where we are able to give a percentage back to them. Every dollar counts and being able to give anything makes me so happy.
Another part of my job that I love is being able to make decisions on when to gift jewelry to our customers. I cannot express how I feel when I am able to give someone the pair of earrings they are longing for after spending an hour shopping with me and letting me know whats been going on in their lives. I have shared tears with so many of my customers and I have happy to call so many of them my friends. The conversations I share with my customers on a daily basis makes me feel so loved and appreciated. The community that Kendra Scott has built around her brand is full of such amazing people.
Lastly, the family that we have in the store with each other is unlike any other. Sure we all bicker every once in a while but each employee has such unconditional love for one another. Although we keep our team small everyone is so nice and encouraging. I feel so conformable turning to anyone with any problem that I have in my life. I am so grateful for everyone that I work with at Kendra Scott.
